Pessoal,

Passado os lançamentos, resolvi fazer um vídeo passo a passo ensinando como criar uma conta no novo Office 365 preview. Com esta conta você poderá testar o Project Server 2013 sem precisar se preocupar com máquina, HD, memória, etc.…

 

Office 365

Para quem não conhece, o Office 365 é o serviço da Microsoft que oferece Exchange (Email), SharePoint (Colaboração), Office Web Apps (Office na web) na nuvem (Cloud). Você consegue contratar no formato de aluguel, podendo inclusive alugar o Office Professional 2010.

 
Office 365 Preview

O Office 365 Preview é a versão beta (ou de testes) do atual Office 365. Com isso poderemos ter todos os recursos acima, mas na versão mais nova que será lançada no futuro. O Exchange base será o 2013, o SharePoint base será o 2013 e assim vai… Ok, mas aonde entra o Project e Project Server nisso?

No Office 365 Preview teremos o Project Online que nada mais é que o Project Server na nuvem e com a possibilidade de contratar também o Project Professional 2013 também como aluguel.

 

Antes de passarmos para o vídeo, vamos para algumas informações importantes:

Restrições:
  • Este Office 365 é preview, logo ele será excluído quando terminar a fase de testes. Não sei ainda quando será, mas acredito que seja entre 1 a 3 meses.
  • Você poderá testar até 25 usuários neste ambiente de teste.
  • A Microsoft não garante backup já que é um ambiente de teste e não de produção.

 

Vantagens:
  • Ter um ambiente com SharePoint 2013 e Project Server 2013 sem precisar de servidor e/ou fazer a instalação.
  • Poder testar como será o Office 365 na próxima versão.
  • Project Professional 2013 preview.
  • É de graça! 0800! Na faixa!

Project Online: O PPM como você nunca viu!

Com os lançamentos de ontem, acabei não falando sobre uma novidade que eu particularmente vinha cobrando muita da Microsoft e do time do produto.

O Project Server 2010 é um produto fantástico, mas a Microsoft quando colocou o SharePoint como pré-requisito do EPM, deixou o produto um pouco mais pesado e caro para pequenas e médias empresas.

Agora não teremos mais este problema, primeiro por conta de alguns novos recursos do novo SharePoint, mas este post não é sobre ele, mas sobre a nova versão do Office 365 e o Project Online.

Com o Project Online teremos o poder e as novidades do Project Server 2013, mas com as facilidades do Office 365. O Project Online é o Project Server, com quase todos os recursos, sendo contratado através de aluguel. Para melhorar mais a novidade, teremos não só o Project Server no modelo de aluguel, mas o Project Professional também!

Não deixem de testar, é de graça e não precisa de servidor nenhum para isto, basta preencher um cadastro e criar um domínio no novo Office 365 preview.
